E-WASTE DISPOSAL

THE RESPONSIBLE DISPOSAL OF E-WASTE

In today’s modern world, businesses and organisations often accumulate electronic waste. Recycling the raw materials from end-of-life electronics is one of the most effective ways to address the growing e-waste challenge. At Shredmaster, we provide a responsible, safe, and environmentally friendly service for the collection and disposal of e-waste.

WHAT IS E-WASTE?

E-waste refers to electrical or electronic devices that have reached the end of their life cycle. These items may be broken, outdated, or simply no longer useful. In short, if it has a plug or runs on batteries or electricity and is no longer functional, it is considered e-waste.

Currently, e-waste is the fastest-growing waste stream in Southern Africa, with an estimated 50 million tons generated annually. Many electronic devices contain toxic substances that are harmful to both humans and the environment. Improper disposal in landfills can pose serious safety and environmental risks.
